Hi! I'm Izzy and I made this website because I've grown tired of the modern web. Tired of the lack of anonymity, the constant advertising, profile pages that all look exactly the same with no options for customisation, short-form video everywhere designed to be as distracting as possible... Overall, the lack of freedom to be yourself. This website is my attempt at carving out my own little space within the vast interwebs.
I'm interested in a lot of things, so this website will contain a lot of things. Including, but not limited to: space, rocks and minerals, books, music, analog photography, art, technology, and writing. I study aerospace engineering and I am active in my university's student rocketry team, so you'll probably find a lot of that here as well.
What is "rocket candy?"
Rocket candy is an informal name for a type of rocket propellant that's commonly used in amateur rocketry. The name comes from the fact that this propellant uses a type of sugar as the fuel component. I chose this name for my website because it is a cool sounding word that is also a real thing - as part of a student rocketry team I regularly work with rocket candy. In case you're wondering, the type we use is technically edible, but I can tell you it doesn't taste very good.
